Walking to school has been found to improve academic achievement, physical fitness and it is good for the environment. Nathional Walk and Bike to school day is to promote fitness and safe walking routes to school.
Darby Creek Elementary will celebrate National Walk and Bike to School Day by forming a walking school bus on Wednesday, OCTOBER 4TH.
To form this walking school bus, we will meet at the assigned “bus stops” to pick up more and more students and families as we walk to school. Let’s see how many Darby Creekers we can pick up along the way! Thanks in advance for your participation!
Questions? Contact Coordinator, Samantha Brill.
THE WALK WILL BE CANCELLED IF 10TV.COM CALLS FOR RAIN OR TEMPERATURES BELOW 30∘ OR BELOW.
